About Pink Noise Sleep

Pink Noise Sleep is an independent editorial project focused on how sound affects sleep, focus, and rest. We publish clear, research-backed guides on colored noise — pink, brown, white, and green.

What We Do

Pink Noise Sleep researches, writes, and publishes in-depth guides on colored noise, translating peer-reviewed science into practical information that readers can trust. Every article is grounded in published research from journals such as Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, Sleep Medicine, and The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.

We clearly distinguish between well-established findings and emerging or preliminary evidence. When the science is limited or inconclusive, we say so — directly, without hedging. Our goal is to be the most accurate and reliable resource on colored noise for sleep anywhere on the internet.

Why This Exists

Most content about pink noise, brown noise, and white noise is oversimplified, poorly sourced, or written to sell a product. We built Pink Noise Sleep to be something different: a free, independent, research-backed resource on sleep science and sound.

We're based in Barcelona. Our editorial process includes source verification and accuracy review before anything goes live. You can read exactly how we approach research on our methodology page.

Our Principles

01

Evidence-based. We cite sources and link to original research whenever possible. If there is no study, there is no claim.

02

Transparent. We clearly distinguish between established sleep science and emerging or preliminary findings. Uncertainty is stated, not hidden.

03

Independent. Pink Noise Sleep does not accept sponsorships from pharmaceutical companies or sleep-aid brands. Our content is editorially self-funded.

04

Free to read. All written content on this site is free to access, always. No paywalls, no required sign-ups.
